Reading is a nightly ritual and a passion of mine, it shuts my mind down when it’s time to go to sleep and allows me to escape anything stressful left on my brain. But I started to notice that I was having a hard time reading with just my reading book clamp light ( Mr. Chinn doesn’t like to be kept up as late as I like to read ) . Gradually I started seeing double images trying to read unless I shut one eye and read that way… the conclusion was annoying and abrupt. I needed reading glasses. Yes, I was the one who had always bragged of how EXCELLENT my vision was… better than perfect. Kevin did not let that minor detail escape him as he laughed heartedly at my new handicap. A trip to the store gave me a price tag of $22 for a pair of poor quality, hideous reading glasses. I declined. Determined to find a pair that was a good price and still looked cute enough for me to feel more excited to need the glasses, I went to my all comforting place; the internet. Found a bunch of great options (at the bottom are the ones that didn’t make the cut), and decided to go with classic nerd in red. Well, scratch that, let’s call it 90′s-esque large framed take over your entire face shaped ones. That is more accurate. Once I had them home and on my face, I knew they were just what I was looking for. Steven’s first words were “What are you, Misses Trelawney??” … that just encouraged me to look up more inspirational eye glass bearers with guts.
